Thanks to its prime location on Linekin Bay, Smuggler’s Cove Inn is the perfect waterfront escape for a bit of R&R. However, that doesn’t mean your stay at our East Boothbay retreat will be anything but boring. There are countless things to do in and around our property. Before creating the perfect itinerary, you have to decide how to reach our Midcoast Maine resort. Because boating in Maine is such a popular activity, it should be no surprise that this is the chosen method of transportation for some. Keep reading to learn more about mooring at our resort and other important information.

How to Stop at Smuggler’s Cove Resort

For those exploring Midcoast Maine by boat, we have five moorings available for boats up to 25 feet. These rentals are located to the right of our dock. There are a few different mooring options available.

  • Daily: This is a great option if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a quick break. Guests to 727 Ocean Sunset Bar can book a free daytime morning, pending availability. Call 207-633-2800 to book a mooring and make a reservation at our on-site restaurant.
  • Overnight: Book one of our five spots for $50 per night; some weekend rates may vary. If you’re looking to book a mooring and stay in one of our well-appointed rooms, your spot is $25 per night. Our overnight mooring guests can enjoy breakfast at our on-site restaurant for an additional fee.
  • Seasonal: Those looking to moor their boat for the season with us from June to the end of September can do so for $2,000. 

Choosing to moor with us gives you access to some incredible benefits, including a five-pound bag of ice a day, wireless internet access, happy hour Thursdays through Tuesdays, and the captain’s shower. You will also be able to enjoy our oceanside heated pool and use our canoes, paddleboards, rowboats, and kayaks.

Important Laws and Safety Tips to Keep in Mind

Before setting sail, it’s important to read up on boating laws and regulations. This includes ensuring you have all necessary safety equipment onboard, like fire extinguishers, lifejackets, and visual distress signals.
