Gorgeous views, nightly campfire as the sunset was an absolute favorite for our family. kayaks and paddle boards available for use. Short drive to town. Breakfast provided was excellent. Staff were kind and accommodating.

The only thing I have to say negative is that we can hear everything being said nextdoor to us. Other than that awesome views and the breakfast was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner on Greek night and the food was great. Overall a great time.

We stayed at Smuggler's Cove Inn from July 16-19 and had a wonderful experience. There were two adults in our party, and our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony and a beautiful ocean view.

The property offers several great amenities. We used the pool once and found it clean and perfectly maintained. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent. They accommodated my special request without any issues, and the food and service were both outstanding. The breakfast buffet was generous and well-stocked, with attentive service each morning.

One of our favorite experiences was taking out the kayaks. We used two kayaks and life jackets and had a fantastic outing. The process was incredibly easy, and we appreciated not having to go through a complicated equipment checkout procedure. The property map provided at check-in was also helpful, and beach towels were available upon request.

The only surprise was that our room was not fully cleaned during our stay. Housekeeping did stop by once to empty the trash and provide fresh towels, which was appreciated. Since the bed and bathroom remained in good shape, this wasn't a major issue for us.

If you're looking for a property that feels brand new and ultra-modern, this may not be the place for you. Smuggler's Cove Inn has more of a quirky, unique character, which is exactly what we loved about it. The charm, views, amenities, and friendly service made for a very enjoyable stay, and we would happily return.

My family had the best experience at Smuggler's Cove Inn in Boothbay Harbor. We were on a road trip through Maine and stayed in Boothbay for 4 days. Almost all the rooms have balconies and an amazing view of the water and the sunsets. The room was renovated with a kitchenette and a really nice bathroom and comfy beds. The breakfast buffet that's included in your stay is so good. So many pastries and fruit and yogurt and pancakes and bacon and eggs. And you can sit outside on the deck to eat. There was so much for our kids to do. They spent hours in the heated saltwater pool. They played with all the lawn games. They took out the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards in the calm bay. They tidepooled in the seaweed and learned how to catch crabs. We had a fire by the water on our last night. The only downside is that is about a 10 minute drive to restaurants and the botanical gardens to see the trolls, but we didn't mind. The only feedback I would have is to offer bar service at the pool and a small menu of lunch items in case families don't want to leave the hotel. I would recommend the Inn to all families, it's a great value for everything that's included. I would definitely stay there again.

We had such a nice time staying at this resort style inn over the 4th of July weekend. Staff were so friendly and responsive. We swam in both the pool and ocean, used the kayaks, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was fresh and the eggs were great. They did a nice firework show and you could also see the fireworks from the harbor. Great experience.

This is an amazing hotel! The staff and owners are very nice, the breakfast is good and it has a nice view, and the rooms are comfortable. We took some kayaks provided by the hotel out in the water, and it was very fun.

We had a great time here. The location is gorgeous. Rooms have everything you need. The food was really good for breakfast or dinner.

A charming inn with views of the ocean. Hot breakfast is served. Buildings are a little outdated, but the rooms were clean and comfortable.

We stayed for 1 night on our way through. We stayed in Dory. Our room was very clean. The directions for anything we could possibly need were in the room and very helpful. We had a lovely view of the water from our room balcony. Breakfast was included and was varied and plenty.

We only stayed here one night but we had a great experience. The location is amazing, right on the water with a great view and a very short drive from downtown Boothbay Harbor. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast that is included with the reservation was great and had lots of options. They have kayaks, paddleboards and a row boat that guests can use and launch right from their property or dock, as well as a pool. They have a fire pit which we didn't use but we saw other people using. We really enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

One of our favorite hotels to stay at for many reasons, it’s right by the water, clean rooms, excellent service by the staff and the food at the restaurant is always great quality. Cash is extremely kind, goes above and beyond to accommodate the guests and they have incredible staff who genuinely care the guests have an amazing experience. Especially as a family staying here it was a wonderful time, we’ve been coming here for the last four years and absolutely recommend.

Smugglers cove is in a nice location and the scenery was perfect. Staff was very friendly.

We loved this spot. The location-right on the water in a secluded cove offers a spectacularly beautiful serenity and a 10 minute drive from Boothbay Harbor. The family that owns/manages the property are the embodiment of hospitality, caring for the property and their guests in the most generous way. The rooms are clean and comfortable all facing the water offering a great view of the still mornings and spectacular sunsets. Kayaks and paddle boards, heated pool and delicious breakfasts are all included. We look forward to our next visit!

Absolutely outstanding place. Rooms are beautiful, amenities are fabulous and restaurant served the best food I've ever had!! Staff is so helpful and take such pride in their place. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone who wants the peace and quiet of an oceanfront hotel.

We had a very nice four day visit. Beautiful views. Place is located in area of high class homes. Good music in restaurant on Sundays and Tuesdays.
