My Wife and I came for a long weekend towards the end of August. Rooms, although recently updated were standard. 2 queen beds in our case. Not overly comfortable, but adequate. A/C worked well. Every employee we encountered was very nice and personable. Several were summer help.
Very happy with the included breakfast. The restaurant was very good, the selection and quality of dishes were above expectation.
The location was beautiful! The view from the room over the water was incredible. Sitting on Adirondack chairs having a drink by the water at sunset was the pinnacle of the trip.

Great stay at the Smugglers Cove Inn!! Super relaxing and quick drive over to the downtown area. Restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast was included every morning. Paddleboards and kayaks were fun and the views were great. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was very clean, staff is friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast was incredible! Awesome pool, they provide kayaks and canoes free of charge. I was happy to see that Boothbay is so dog friendly. there are water bowls all around the town and at the restaurants. Just an amazing experience.

Beautiful location. They are doing some patchwork repairs, and some more are needed, but overall, a nice stay with comfortable rooms and balcony. Restaurant offers free breakfast, happy hour, and dinner and includes outside dining. Although we had no opportunity to use the pool and kayaks, they are available as well.

We brought our dog to Smugglers Cove Inn on her first vacation instead of staying in a kennel. This was a new experience for us, and we brought our entire family (3 rooms in total).
Some problems with the room and the plumbing the first night, but we did not say anything and it corrected itself and never happened again. And there was no shampoo in the shower.
Otherwise the room was fine. Standard room you would expect.
Traveling with a dog is interesting, our first night we were going to go into town, but she did not like being left in the room alone, so we stayed and got takeout from the 727 restaurant which was part of the resort, limited menu (not unexpected), but the food was good. And the restaurant staff were very accommodating and friendly.
The pool was good, the view was excellent. We sat for hours in Adirondack chairs right up to the water, a very nice part of the trip. Kayak's and paddle boards were available as well, which is a really nice touch.
I will point out, the staff is doing all sorts of improvements. I could see railings were repaired recently, branches trimmed, etc.
Overall, really enjoyed the Smugglers Cove Inn, so little details could be improved, but the location and the people were terrific.

Beautiful cottage hotel right on the water in a breathtaking cove. Great for families with outdoor activities if you like. The restaurant is outstanding. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommend!

It was my wife's birthday and needed a quick getaway.
Located on East Boothbay it's in a secluded area but a short drive to restaurants, boat excursions and shopping

Clean and freshly updated.
Slept great both nights. Room had a microwave, good size fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. Pool was clean water temp was perfect! With your stay a full complimentary breakfast buffet is provided, It was very good. The Inn has its own restaurant, which makes it convenient if you don't want to travel and want to just chillax. Breakfast 730 to 1030.
Reopens at 4 pm for dinner and drinks.
Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, ocean view and breakfast buffet. Excellent 👍 will be back!

I needed to elaborate more on our stay as our review came from just our very first night. I cannot rave enough about this place. It is so quaint and tidy! The rooms are perfect, and the view is amazing! Love the pool and the ocean right in front of you. Fun to play in the sand and see what you can find! Being able to use kayaks at our leisure was super fun. The atmosphere was friendly and was nice to meet other guests around the fire pit and cornhole boards. The restaurant is amazing! We had the best meal hands down at the restaurant on site! Breakfast was wonderful every morning. Had a little bit of something for everyone! The staff are very friendly and always helpful. We will be back!

Had such a wonderful stay! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they truly want you to enjoy your stay here.
The best amenity for us was the access to kayaks & paddleboard in the beautiful cove! Had a blast going out in the water, so pretty. The complimentary breakfast was super convenient and was better than expected as most places just do the bare minimum. Location is great too, only about 10 minutes from the downtown area. Look forward to staying here again sometime!

The property is absolutely beautiful. Sunset views see amazing and so close to Ocean Point. Only 6 minutes from downtown and easy to get to. |I loved that we were able to bring our dog. …

We stayed here as they allow dogs which we so appreciate. The location and the property is absolutely incredible. Views of sunsets are exceptional as the property faces west.
Breakfast buffet is great. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, breakfast sausages, French toast, pancakes, yogurt , granola, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals, bagels, etc
We had dinner here the first night and the food was exceptional.
The rooms and bathrooms need some updating but I know they are working on it
Service was excellent. Kayaks, paddle boards are provided for guests. Overall a wonderful experience
