This is such a hidden gem! My family and I absolutely loved our time there. The views are beautiful and the staff were so friendly. This is not a fancy hotel with extreme amenities but it is a one of a kind place that you will fall in love with! The breakfast is good! The kayaks/paddle boards were a wonderful amenity. The air conditioner was quiet and worked well. The bonfire every night was a wonderful way to connect with the other guests. Wish we could go back every year!

Great place to stay in a beautiful part of Maine Our room was clean, very comfortable, and the manager and staff were delightful and eager to help. In particular, one day a tropical storm passed through the area that caused electrical and internet temporary outages. Despite those beyond-their-control circumstances, the staff went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The attached restaurant had a very good variety of food and drink, plus there were amenities like a nice salt-water pool, kayaks, and various other activities one could engage in, weather permitting. Exploring the Boothbay area was eye-opening in the best way for us, and Smuggler's Cove is a great and affordable destination and base from which to venture around. Highly recommended! More

A great place to stay in Maine!!! We have stayed there the past 3 years. The people who work there couldn't be nicer, all of them! Our room was clean, the food at the restaurant was amazing, the location was perfect. It's just a very special place and near enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough away from everything. If you wanted to, you could just stay there and enjoy where you are. It's got it all! Kayaks, a heated swimming pool, a lounge, breakfast every morning!!! A perfect place to watch the sunset while you enjoy a cocktail at the lounge or from your own room. It's just a short drive to Farm 23, to Hannaford, Pinkhams, The Carriage House or into town for just about anything that you might need. I really look forward to the next trip to Maine! I know where I am staying!!! More

My mom and I visited with our dog, Daisy, and we all absolutely loved it! Daisy enjoyed digging for clams near the beach; Mom adored the bed; and I couldn't get enough of the patio view and comfort of the Adirondack chairs. …

Fabulous dining, wonderful Chef Our first visit as a couple here although long time Boothbay visitors give this restaurant 5 Stars. Every night the entrees were creatively interesting and beyond delicious. Prepared by a superior chef who also created a different and amazingly tasty soup each evening that came with the entree.
Gary” was friendly and deserves great applause! The staff were friendly, young and the drinks were excellent!
As for the included breakfast everything was offered..a seemingly endless choice and all kept hot. Even the tea was an excellent organic brand.
It is an extra treat to be able to depend on the restaurant at night for dinner rather than get in the car again after a wonderful day.
Some fresh flowers on each indoor table would add to the ambiance and lovely plated meals. More

Great Maine coast getaway The room in The Pier was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a great view. The cove is far enough from town to be quiet, with only a short drive to fun coastal towns. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff were great. Highly recommended!

Friendly, peaceful place My mom and I visited with our dog, Daisy, and we all absolutely loved it! Daisy enjoyed digging for clams near the beach; Mom adored the bed; and I couldn't get enough of the patio view and comfort of the Adirondack chairs. The staff was very friendly, always greeting you with a smile. It was quiet and serene. This is definitely a place we will be staying again in the future.

Beautiful location! We stayed in the Pier building, on the 2nd floor. It is really built over the water which is so cool and really gives the best view! I can see how the other buildings would all have a great view as well but I think it's worth it to upgrade! Room was very clean, spacious with high ceilings and had nice updated, Coastal decor. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Sunset was amazing as promised but unfortunately we only got the first night and it was cloudy most of our weekend. Pool looked nice but we weren't brave enough to jump in when our first day high temp was 65. Dinner and drinks were good. It is a limited menu. Breakfast was good. My only negatives...not enough to remove a star...poor lighting in bathroom/shower. Small TV (we didn't come to watch TV but it is nice at night before bed and there was access to streaming), no orange juice at breakfast (maybe they were out?) And sausage/bacon was cold at 830 (I think the burner went out). Overall a nice peaceful stay the first weekend in fall, would highly recommend! More
